About Mariano
Mariano joined VEGA in 2021, bringing his energy and love for coaching to the floor! A former wrestler, he’s all about helping kids build confidence, chase their goals, and believe in themselves.
Known as one of the loudest (and most encouraging!) coaches around, Mariano’s favorite part of the job is connecting with athletes and making a positive impact on the next generation.
You’ll find him at all of locations—New Kent, WISC, and Middle Peninsula! When he’s not in the gym, Mariano’s hitting the books at VCU, working toward his Bachelor of Exercise Science, where he plans to pursue a career in physical therapy! Outside of school, you’ll probably find him coaching wrestling, lifting at the gym, spending time with family, or dreaming up his next big adventure. Fun fact: Mariano is a two-time state wrestling champ, and a total dog lover at heart! We couldn’t be prouder to have Mariano on our team.
